American Society of Mechanical Engineers

ASME at Columbia University is a student chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. We host various events throughout the school year that are of benefit to ME Department students. This includes career panels, graduate school panels, research seminars, social events, and engineering talks.

ASME helps the global engineering community develop solutions to real world challenges. Founded in 1880 as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, ASME is a not-for-profit professional organization that enables collaboration, knowledge sharing and skill development across all engineering disciplines, while promoting the vital role of the engineering in society.

The Columbia University ASME Board encourages you to become a member of ASME national by visiting the National Membership Page. ASME National provides mechanical engineers with a host of services and prolific opportunities to develop via networking, panels, and career advice.
