Columbia University Visitors Center

The Columbia University Visitors Center offers guided campus tours, group information sessions, overnight visits, and provides maps and directions to and around campus.

Virtual Tour

With Columbia's virtual tour, you can enjoy 360° panoramic views of Columbia’s beautiful Morningside Heights campus from the convenience of your own computer or mobile device. This interactive online walking tour includes stops inside iconic locations such as Butler Library and Low Rotunda, as well as our residence halls, academic spaces and dining facilities.


Prospective applicants can schedule an in-person or telephone appointment with an admissions representative from the Office of Graduate Admissions. To arrange an appointment, please send an e-mail request to

Columbia Engineering is located in the S.W. Mudd Building at 500 West 120th Street (between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue). The Office of Graduate Admissions is located in room 1220 S.W. Mudd building and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday.

The Office of Graduate Admissions is not able to arrange overnight accommodations. Please see the Visitors Center Accommodations page for information regarding staying in New York City.

Campus Tours

We are excited to offer campus tours for students interested in applying to a Master's or Doctoral program at Columbia Engineering. The campus tour will start at the Office of Graduate Admissions (Suite 1220) in the Seeley W.
